This land has given proud moments to our country in International Hockey, Women Football, Rowing, Asiads, Common Wealth Games, Olympic and many more National & International sporting events. Motor sports is not new to this part of the country, but was not being widely practiced. This lacuna has now been fulfilled by formation of Kalinga Motor Sports Club, registered in Baripada, Mayurbhanj.
